Estate agency is not always the most reliable of sectors to work in - people simply are not moving as often as they used to and the past few years have been mired in political and financial uncertainty due to, dare we say it, Brexit.

2018 though has been a good year for the team, its customers, its property buyers and sellers and landlords at Pure North Norfolk.

We think that vendors and landlords are realising that their interests are best served by expert local estate agents who know their area, its property prices and the community well. We've seen a surge in footfall in our office and the amount of engagement increase on this website and with our active social media channels. We've actually arranged viewings and had offers tabled as a result of our presence on Facebook and Instagram, which is great!

It's always sad to see an online estate agency fail, and this past month has seen emoov, an online giant, enter receivership and their selling package was built on low, often upfront fees. The biggest online estate agency now, Purple Bricks, has seen share prices and listings fall as people are perhaps realising that you need real local experts to sell or let your property with extensive databases of sellers and buyers.

It's in the little things too: the Christmas Tree Festival in Fakenham Church saw us chatting with familiar faces.

Our properties are priced accurately to sell or let - and the cheapest agent we keep saying is not the one with the lowest fee but the one who sells for the most.

We've enjoyed this year, 2018, and are expecting 2019 to continue in this vein.

Finally, we'd like to wish all the Pure North Norfolk team and its customers, family and friends a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

We raise a glass to you and 2018!
